my key fob only worked every so often, it stoped working would not unlock my car or turn the alarm off. i replaced the batteries do i need to reset the fob? hyundai coupe se 2004

There is a procedure in the handbook for resyncing the keyfobs to the car; it requires that the alarm be off, the car unlocked and a key in the ignition.
It will not register new keyfobs with the car, but it will re-awaken already registered keyfobs that have lost sync with the car.
