Beko DE2431FW motor? fault?

The machine started to emit a load 'graunching' noise when operating, although it would complete the cycle (sometimes slower than normal). Now the noise has gone but the machine will not pump water through the nozzles and will not go beyond pre-wash. Is it likely that the motor has failed?

Thanks ck - it was the bearing in the motor that had failed. Replacement motor fitted (super deal from an eBay shop for a genuine motor); now all OK again.

take motor off and check for signs of leaks from shaft/pump seal.also check for objects inside pump impellor housing.if they are ok then suspect seized circulation pump.
