I have a Peugeot 405 glx diesel and my immobiliser is a pain and i would like to try and disconnect or disable it.please help?

i know it sounds daft but im pretty sure you can disable the immobaliser on these by taking the fuse for it out. its the only car ive come across where you can do that.

Hi kev, there is a section on there about reading faults from the ECU. Cant remember what section but it tells u how that you can use a piece of wire. On speaking to other people on here it appears that it will only work on earlier models. RAndom question but where do you live, i have got details of a bloke in warrington who does disconnectins of immobiliser for stolen and recovered cas, unfortunatly he wouldnt commit to wether he could do mine or not (typical). I have had alot of good info with regards to my pug from a guy called nigel. He knows his stuff and from his advice mine is now booked in and getting the coolent sensor changed. Mite be worth trying to grab his attention. Let us know if you want me to get those details for that fella for you.

hi ronnie, i tried that but they are talking bbout using a key with a plip on it. ive got a key which doesnt have any buttons at all. any help there

Hi Kev, im having the same problem with my pug 307. Have a look at peugetdiesels web site. There is a page on there to do a self test on the ECU. Mine is a nightmare, the dealers rekon it will cost 700 quid to get it fixed but others have told me that it is poss the BSI. There is a page on the net that tells you how to reset the BSI. I have forgotten it (it didnt work on mine tho) google ' reprogamme peugeot bsi'.
