hi there is oil leaking from my gear box and its making the reves go up how much would it cost to fix

do you know if u have lost any oil if so where from is the clutch slipping at all if so could be gearbox oil seal only #15 quid for part but about 150 to have fitted

The filler/level plug is on the front of the gearbox, slightly lower than the centre line. Take the plug out (with the car on level ground) and add your gear oil until it just starts coming out again.
