How do you repair a steering column that continues to go straight?

I have a 14.5 hp 42`` cut Huskee Mower, while mower yesterday the mower would not turn to the right. What repairs do i need to make to correct this problem. Also, I need information how to service the motor.

If I may generalise? I don't know this particular make in the UK. At the bottom of the steering column there is a toothed quadrant with a steel arm fixed to it. This arm connects to one of the front wheels via a rod, and the other front wheel has another rod that connects the two together. I guess one of the rods has come away, so its worth checking it all. For a general motor service, change the engine oil (and filter if it has one), change or clean the air filter element and fit a new spark plug. Hope this helps!
