check the small plug in electronic cable which plugs into the speedo housing to the rear of the engine, which is bolted to the side of the gearbox around the driveshaft, if this doesn't work it might need a new electronic pick-up/sensor, which is available from Peugeots (majorly expensive) or Eurocarparts (recommend). NOTE:- replacing this sensor you will have to remove the right hand drive shaft completely. don't forget to replace the drive shaft seal.
