How do I replace my Ford Ka radio with a Kenwood radio?

I am changing the factory fitted Ford Ka radio with a new Kenwood radio.

Will the original radio have an audible alarm when I take it out?

My VW Sharan did, and I had to bury it in the cellar to stop hearing it!

Also, is the space for the rear support bracket accessible for my big mitts?

The radio won`t (shouldn`t?) have an alarm fitted but you`ll have to make sure that the new Kenwood has the same ISO Socket + Aerial Socket in the same place at the back otherwise a quick swop won`t be possible.. I believe that Kenwood in the past used their own style of socket so it won`t be straightforward. If you have to wire direct then you might have to buy an add-on socket and aerial lead. If you have a browse through the MAPLIN catalogue (online or in the book) then there are bits there that can be purchased. If you`re not sure what you`re doing, then take it in as it can be quite a fiddly and awkward job ....and may also involve some soldering...Good Luck !
