my zanussi td hums but dont spin it is reversible is it a cheap fix?

i have a zanussi t dryer model tc7102s condenser reversible push start button and just humming is this a cheap fix or is it scrap?

yes.take righthand side panel off (as you look at it) and you will see a capacitor mounted to the side of the motor.sounds like this is faulty hence it is humming
