How do you prime diesel into the engine on a peugot 106 1.5 1998 diesel after you have drained and cleaned the tank,i have trouble trying to get past the primer squeazer as ther seems to be an air lock, is there a certain procedure/ tool to do this as the haynes manual is not show or tell you this

Fill the tank with diesel, leave the fuel filter open and squeeze the primer bulb repeatedly ( it has a non return valve in it, therefore only goes on one way). The fuel should flow into the fuel filter. Leave the bleed screw open on the filter until it fills. Then undo the 8mm bleed screw on the injector pump, keep squeezing the primer until fuel flows from here.
