iveco eurocargo air system fault?

hi,
there seems to be a leak on the air system of my N reg 75E15

Between the 2 air cylinders there seems there is some sort of release valve? it has a circlip in it? that is continuously leaking.

was ok this am when i started it charged up ok then about 15 mins in to journey noticed that air pressure was not going up any more and was stable just below 8 bar, then when i stopped i noticed the hiss.

Any idea what this is?

Has anyone got a diagram of the air system?

Thanks
Arron

Ok it's fixed now.

The problem just incase someone else has something similar.

The valve which is attached to the air tank on top os the safety pressure release valve. This is opened by an airline (8mm dia) from a pressure sensor in the air line from the compressor. What seems to have happened is that the valve was opened as normal when the pressure went above 10 bar. BUT the valve failed to close afterwards.

Having removed the valve from the tank it was clearly in the open position (able to blow through it). Basicly the valve was just sticking. I was able to seat the valve and it sealed ok. So i lubricated the vavle with light oil and cleaned the whole thing up, years of road debris must have taken their tole.

Refitted it and it all seems to work fine.

Lorry stranded for 3 days but hey fixed now.

If anyone wants a service manual for an IVECO Tector 6 to 26t i belive its 2003 onwards but it will helped me work stuff out on mine anyway. I have the PDF its 300 odd MB, no elecrtrical setcion tho. Happy to stick it up on Rapidshare

I Need a Iveco Manual for 1996 75E15 anyone got one.

ok, there seems to be 3 air cylinders arranged with two on the bottom and 1 on the top in a triangle shape.

The valve that is 'leaking' is attached to the single upper cylinder and has a 8 or 6mm pipe connected to it. when he system started to fail the two bottom cylinders still had air in them and were holding that air.

the leak is only in this valve and the engine / compressor does not seem to be able to overcome the loss's to charge the other cylinders

Any help?
