How to fix a broken sun visor on a Nissan Altima '99?

The driver sun visor keeps falling down, so I removed it completely, but now the sun really hurts my eyes and I need it to stay on, but it keeps falling on me and I'm scared that it can lead to an accident. How do I fix it so it can stay put and able to use it when needed?

The passenger sun visor has been broken on one side, can i crazy glue it together?

Sorry Lisa there is no "fixing" only replacement.

I had the exact same problem. When I unscrewed the plastic cover at the visor hinge, I saw that the plastic connection was broken. My local mechanic quoted me almost $300!!! He claimed that the part was expensive because of the electrical wiring.

I went on-line and found the sun visor for $179 + shipping. I removed the cheap plastic cover, snapped out the old visor wire to the new, screwed in the new cheap plastic cover and I am no longer a menace on the road.

To order your visor you need to know your Altima year, trim and which side (right or left) needs replacement. My 1999 GLE is a tan color so it is "Trim C." If you are clueless, just have your VIN number and the sales rep at CourtesyParts.com can help. They have a 1-800 number or follow the link below.

Good Luck.

(yes, I'm a girl too, but my daddy was a mechanic.)
