Why do so many people not buy quality?????

Im starting this as a bit of a poll. i dont want to sound a tw*t and im not rolling in cash but why do so many people end up with cr*p boilers when at the end of the day they gonna be a major part of their day to day lives for a lot of years.

i know everyone likes to save a few quid but would an extra 150-200 quid on a boiler over 10 years be too much.

how many posts involve fer****li, hal****d, the usual french culprits too?????

we always advise on cost, quality, reliability and parts cost and availability as well as engineer friendly.

Whats everyones thoughts, am i alone in my madness anti french/british type attitude :-)

I must say, there is a lot of cr*p being installed, in Ire the builders being so thight causes alot of headaches!

Even more than the boilers, EVERY house I now go to built in the last 10 years are heavily sludges, blocked heatexchangers and scaled up as the builders/installers don't bother the initally flush the system and treat the water.....idi*ts!

I must say, after just doing a Vaillant product course, I think the build quality of the ecomax range seems very good, again it's a boiler thats a little bit more expensive, but on the outset seems worth it.

Ne'er a truer word spoken, Iain.....the thing is, most people rely on the advice of so called 'experts' because they have no personal knowledge and have the cheapest thing fitted possible...and usually live to regret it. As for Fer....i and hal...d I just don't go near them because people blame me for their cr*p quality.
