cracked bass drum shell (bottom centre of shell)?

my 26inch kick has an impact "crack" in the center bottom of the shell. the first couple of layers (2-3) have "leafed" apart. can i glue it back together? what type of adhesive would i used and how would i place the layers back in position and then hold them until the adhesive sets? Thanks.

Hi,

Trickey one. You'll never get it looking as new, but try this patch up.

Do glue the crack as best you can, then over the top of the glue put a layer of 'Duct' tape as this is strong, flexible and will stick to almost anything.

After i suggest you get a blanket or towel to rest the base on to try to reduce more impact while playing.

Hope this helps??
