Are these Omnidirectional aerials as good as they say? Mine isn't. I removed the Omni plug and connected my cheap digi aerial to the box and got a picture all beit ghosting a little. I was tempted to invest in a new Omni but had second thoughts on seeing the price. No picture on an over priced O.D aerial to a picture on a cheap digital aerial through the O.D's control box. Would that indicate the OD aerial needs to be changed.

Sounds like you have a weak signal in your area. Remember that a lot of caravan sites are in rural, picturesque locations that do not always offer good tv reception. Try investing in a high gain aerial and a mounting bracket or a telescopic pole. That should offer the best reception.
