the same thing is haping with my gilera stalker 49cc. the bike shop man told me that the exaust could be blocked due to burnt oil build up this can happen if you use cheap oils. i have been told to use iver semi synthetic or fullly syntjetic oil. but i am not sure how to unblock the exaust. i have also been told that i can poor gasoline down the pipe when removed and ignite the gasoline please eney ideas post a coment thanks.

Hi, My Nephew has a DNA 50 with exactly the same problem. I cleaned out all the carb, jets etc along with the air filter but all seemed ok.
I popped in a new plug which improved things a little.

We did find a split in the rubber inlet manifold where it clamps to the carb. This would suck in additional air giving a lean mix and poor running. The split wasn't obvious at first but worth checking.

well its one of two things most likeley the latter of the two,the first possibility is that the exhaust is blocked with burnt oil but it sounds more like the engine is running lean.i.e the fuel air mix is short of petrol in it is the air filter ok and screwed on fine with no cracks or leaks?and if thats ok then i would suggest checking the fuel tap which is opened via a vaccum to it from the inlet manifold of the carburettor has a jet or two blocked.also water in the fuel tank an cause the problem of weakness.try draining the carb and see if it has water in it it will look totally different to petrol on a shiny surface as it forms globules unlike petrol that goes flat as a witchs tit !
