have you added a sport air filter. If you have remove it or change the jetting. I had this problem where either to much air was gettin in or not enuf. I revved and it would move abit, then bog down and flood. In the end i ended up removin the sport air filter. Hope this helps

your automatic choke unit is fualty take it off and blank the hole with a 5p

the needle position was wrong , fixed that , so now idle speed is better

but if I throttle hard it cuts out , n hisses from the exhaust
if i gently accelerate its better , no matter how I adjust the
mixture , its hit or miss whether it gets me there

I think its going to be more of a carburetor set up problem

the exhaust is not blocked , though it has been getting very hot under the current carb setting

any one know how to set up a dellorto slide carburetor

the exhaust will be blocked up ty loosening it where it bolts to the barrel and see if it maks it better, this isnt a cure of course just a test to see if its the problem for sure,i would clean out the exhaust with caustic soda or cut it open take out the blocked baffles and weld it back together.
