I have the same problem , i am simply putting in a new horn and linking it to the ciggie lighter, the horn is placed just under the battery, jack the passengers side up and look under the arch the horn is just there you will just have to look around a bit but belive me its right there, anyway open the hood and up on the right hand side there is a place where a new horn can bolt on away from engine, havent worked out how to run the wirs yet but i have a push button for the switch im putting it in the dash, it works and conforms to pass the m.o.t . just need to find a plce to run the wire to the dash, shouldt be hard tho, ill let you know, apart from that my ka 2002 touch wood is sound as a pound.

Ged here again...
++UPDATE++ straight from Ford's mouth! The horn is usually located behind the front left wheel arch/bumper corner. It cannot be seen from the engine compartment! You need to look behind the wheel arch plastic cover. (means taking the wheel off and removing the trim!) YES, it is not unknown to be an air-bag/horn push issue but this is very rare. 95% of causes of malfunction is due to serious corrosion due to the location of the horn getting all the water and salt and crud from the roads straight into it! When you have proven it still works ok, that any power supply is intact but nothing at the working end, that is the time to have the dealer check the horn push!

Hi, this is not a guaranteed answer, just that I have inherited the same 02 Ka problem from my mother in law to sort out! My research so far varies from simple corrosion. one wire/terminal for (+) as (-) is the bolt to ground and I have yet to find the hooter! Just learnt it may be under the battery. Or it could be the fuse, some are fused, some aren't -depends on the model. Have also learnt there seems to be an issue with Ka's and the horn push spring itself especially where there is a driver's air-bag as both are the central lump of the wheel!
** DEALER SPECIALIST ONLY ** or Blow your heard off if you start messing with it! Not to mention the cost of a new air-bag if you survive! As I said this just web talk. FORD - Fix Or Repair Daily! I'll stick to my Honda!
