vauxhall has idling problems?

I have bought a 2 L Omega recently and noticed that when idling on 1thou revs the car rocks slightly from side to side ? It also either revs too low and cuts out or revs to high at 2thou revs. It also jumps between 1 and 2 thou revs without me even touching the accelerator !! especially when it has heated up - any advice ?

i think theres a problem with the idle controller, thats used to happen to my passat it revs to high somtimes, and somtimes goes VERY LOW REV!!! AND STOPS ON THE STREET, i called the R.A.C and all was fine.

sounds like it could be an idle speed controller. had the same problem with my 96 vectra...costly to replace but not difficult job ...all the cost is in the part
