Transfer Video from SD card to DVD?

I have a Canon FS100 camcorder with an SD Card and I have been told that the video footage can be transferred from the card to a dvd, the same as transferring from Video cassette to dvd.
If this is true, can anyone tell me who could do this and the cost of having it done

Steve, do I have a "duplicator" installed on my laptop already or do I have to purchase one. As you can see, I am a computer neophyte & still don't understand your concise & simple answer. Sorry. My laptop is only a year old. It is a compac "notebook", actually. Again, thank you for your help....

But, will I lose video on sd when I transfer to dvd? I have been told that transferring you do NOT lose info on SD. Is this true. Why does it say "transfer" instead of "copy" if that is what you are actually doing? I am afraid I may do something wrong, the DVD does not receive the video properly and then I have also lost it on the SD card. The video is a hunting trip of my husbands. If I lose his memory (on SD)by trying to put on dvd, , he will not be a happy camper!!Thank you

There are duplicators now available which can copy from SD card (and other flash media such as compact flash or USB) to 1 or more CD/DVD discs.
Do a search for "Meteor MM backup".

Police use similar units for copying digital images (video and photo evidence) to CD/DVD disc.

Plug the camera or the card in to a PC that has a DVD burner. Now drag and drop the file(s). Now follow the DVD burner software instructions on burning and finalising the DVD
