Hi, I have an ACER Aspire 5630 and its not running normal, i've run 3 different anti virus progammes and cleared up the problems, ive de-fraged it to but still running slow and my audio settings are messed up I also get and err message ' windows firewall 0x800706D9 when i run utorrent and 0x800706BE when i run itunes or media player saying audio configuration is wrong. This all happened when it re-set itself back to 2004 for no apparent reason!. My start bar at the bottom of the screen is also changing from the normal blue colour to white on its own. the only thing that i can think of to do is to re-start from factory mode to hopefully fix these problems but alas the discs i got with the laptop wont run either, the laptop was recon when i bought it from pc world. The discs dont look like the original ones that come with a new laptop. I've also tried re-start and pressing "ALT and F10" at the same time when the ACER logo appears but it dosen't work either! i would try " system restore" first, and try bring it back to a date early in 2004, if it will let you, im not sure if you know how to do this or if you all ready have? ,( click start , then (programs ( accessories (system tools then click on system restore" (then create a restore point , , or back to a earler date, and go back 2004 if it will let you , if you had a windows xp disk you could reinstall it, and reinstall windows again, try system restore first, good luck
