I punched a hole in the tubing of my frig - trying to remove ice buildup?

Help, my GE Tfx22r had ice building up behind the interior panel of the freezer - so I removed the panel and started (carefully I thought) chipping away. I screwed up and put a small whole in the tubing and got a face full of gas. Can I repair it or is it even repairable???
