AEG Diswasher flow thru heater element?

I need to locate and check the flow thru heater element on a AEG F40640 PNC 911232601. Is it accessed via the front kick plate / side panel or via the lid next to the waste filter on the bottom of the washing cabinet?

After you have check the flow thro heater element is alright, try the printed circuit board (pcb) it is behind the control buttons, you have to take off the top front panel, to unclip pcb box out, once it is out, it can also be unclip to be able to get the pcb out to check the back of the board for brown/fuse stains at the back of the heater relay to check the solder has not melted off at the pin. that is where I found the fault. resoldered the pin back onto the sold track and it work fine

Thanks, There was a pin at the back of the pcb behind the heater relay with no solder. Re-solder and it worked fine,

yes.remove it and then open up the plastic pcb holder.look for burnt track or bad solder joint around heater relay

Thanks for the information, I have checked the heater and it is fine. ref the main control pcb - I cannot see a pcb as such but there is a large "programmer" type box in the top left hand corner of the front facia, is that what you meant to check for broken tracks around the heater relay?

its in the bottom of the appliance and more or less in the middle at the back.some models have a removable piece on the back others you need to release the whole base.limited access can normally be gain from removing the left side panel.if you are getting no heat then also check main control pcb in the fascia panel for fused/blown pcb tracks around heater relay
