my suzuki gsxr 750 k1 year 2001 will not reve past 11000 rpm in any gear ihave been past 11000rpm loads of times so i could say it isnt restricted

Your problem sounds electrical to me it could be 1 of the many sensors on this bike giving a faulty reading or it could be the ECM itself. Have you got the genuine Suzuki manual for this bike? if you do, invest in the special tool that swiches the dash over to Diagnostic mode and it will tell you what is going on.Part No for the tool is in the genuine manual,and it costs less than £20.00.This tool must be used in conjunction with the Suzuki manual cause it gives all the fault codes.These bikes are very intellegent.
