could you please tell me how to tighten my fan belt on my ford courier van year 1998 thanks

if you have a look underneath the bumper on the driver side you will see the alternator, undo the nut that joins the alternator to the fan belt and pull everything down towards you, then simply re tighten the whole unit which has incresed the mass of the unit to tighten the fan belt.
