Our refrigerator is leaking water, drown from the freezer into the lower part of fridge. Refrigerator is working fine (freezer too) but the filter that takes the water from the freezer appears clogged, how do we unclog? The cup is at an odd angle (very close to the top of the refrigerator). Is there something we can put into it, that will not ruin our refrigerator?? Moffat refrigerator, only about 6 years old, frost free, upper freezer (with door).

First I put hot water into the drain.I used a piece of tubing from the auto parts store and jammed it into the drain.I blew into it
and some debris floated up.I kept repeating a few time until the hot water started flowing dow the drain.

I don't know the official way, but I poured hot water with a small amount of drain clog mixed in, worked great-but it may not be the best way-just thought I would add this
