I have files which i can't deletefrom my 8GB compactflash drive.
I get an error message stating that the file is write-protected.
How do I remove wright-protection or delete these files?
Remove from camera, plug into cardreader, connect to computer, do a full format.

You don't say what device you are using to read and write to the drive but assuming Windows of some flavour. Rig click on the file. Left Click Properties. Untick the Read Only box.
