Can I fit a new fan on Worcester Boiler without a plumber?

Hi, Could somebody advise me on fitting a fan assembly kit to a worcester boiler 28CDi. Is this something I can do without the need to call a plumber? and would I be able to purchase this kit from a local plumbers merchant?Thank you

In short, if he hasn't done it befor, leave it alone.
I know it seems simple, but he has no way of checking has he
done it all right in the end. A boiler not running correctly can produce CO emmissions, small ammounts of CO kill.

thanks for your response, in your opinion would you say a general householder could fit this fan without causing any danger? My husband has not taken the boiler apart before but is fairly confident the manual is clear on how to replace the fan.

yes you could do it yourself, but if you are not comfortable taking your boiler apart (a bit of a strip down required) I would get someone in to do it, you can get the part from your local supplier (heatmerchants etc) and the part number should be listed in your boiler manual, but in saying that, your plumber will get a healthy discount on parts over you so to get him out to do it will not cost a huge ammount over what it will cost you, and you will be sure it is right!
