need advice on adjustment of focus handbrake?

Please help me! I have a ford focus and the rear brakes were done about 3 months ago. The handbrake now is just so loose and doesnt do its job at all. Can someone please give me advice on how I can adjust the handbrake

the best way to adjust your handbrake is in the rear drums. this way your cable will last longer

Use a flathead screwdriver to flick the handbrake gaitor from the centre console. Prise it up gently from the side to the front and the rear part just lifts up. When u look from above on the left side of the handbrake there is a metal clip on the thread adjuster. Again prise this off and adjust 10mm nut with a deep socket to tighten cable to suit 2-3 clicks.Make sure car still rolls when handbrake off and reassemble. 10 min job.
