My ford fiesta 1997 1.8D wont start?

How can I get my 97,1.8 Diesel to start, tried a new battery, the car turns-over but just dosent start.

try the fuel solenoid (screwed into the pump and has a wire to it with a small nut)...test this by putting a direct feed from the battery to it...if she starts u got a faulty relay(located bhind left hand headlight usually and is black....same relay used on a lot of vauxhalls)...if it still wont start...white smoke means air in fuel....black means fuel is there so check glow plugs...no smoke means either relay or solenoid gone down

i had the same problem but i had air in my fuel so if you can try bleeding it

the glow plugs are faulty or there is no diesel getting into the system
