how do i keep front wheelbearing tight on a mk2 mondeo?

How do I stop my nearside front wheelbearing nut from coming loose?
It is a Mondeo mk 2 diesel. Bearing doesn't seem to be making a noise. If i tighten up the nut it comes loose after a while. I don't know how to lock the nut? I understand the nut should be done with a torque wrench,if that is so will that stop it from coming loose? Or is there some other way of locking the nut? Thanks.

Hi David, you need to torque the hub nut up to 340Nm or 252Ft/lbs and from memory that takes a big lever to attain this torque, then again from memory the nut has an edge that needs to be bent into the slot in the stub axle, then it will not come undone
