Indesit Dishwaher D63 Salt low?

The salt low indicator in permanently on (with Power on) regardless of the fact that the salt container is full.
How can I fix it?
Paul R, July 2005
I've had the same problem on my Indesit (IDL-730, IDL730) and after pouring in salt until full for ages, without the light going out, I finally decided to do the reverse.

I left it to run down the salt over a couple of months, until well empty (not ideal, but I was getting desperate!), and then finally refilled it.

Problem solved - salt error light was no longer on

All I can figure is that a blockage had set in and casued the issue. Leaving it to clear over time sorted it.

Hope this helps in your situation.

I had exactly the same problem with my new dishwasher. Eventual answer was to replace the "Salt Light Switch" - part number C00043737. This is located low down ,on the left hand side - near the front. ie near the salt container.
You have to take off the strip below the door and then the left side panel to replace it. It is about 1.25 inches long and 0.5 inches deep.
good luck!
Indesit helpdesk gave various incorrect details about how this salt indicator works. ie 1) switches off after 7 cycles.
2) comes on after 29 cycles regardless of how much salt is used up.
