I have a 98 Vectra 2.5 V6 CDX, it ran out of petrol and has played up since it started out like a miss fire, took it to the garage and they put a new coil pack in it. It ran ok not perfect but a lot better, it had a miss fire at high rev, whcih the garge said it was possible that spark pulgs needed replacing. So I replaced leads and plugs. It struggles for power now and does not run great it seems very laboured and does not run very well ?

In a perfect world fuel tanks have nothing but fuel in them. In reality, the older they are, the more crap they accumulate in the bottom of them and when you run low on fuel it can get sucked into the system. Possibly the problem is only a blocked fuel filter. But if water/algae gets through your filter then your injectors may be blocked. Tell your mechanic that you ran out of fuel. If you did previously, find a new mechanic!
