how do I install new battery in my riding mower?

How do I install a new battery in my riding mower? What do I connect first? Will I get shocked?

I agree with the last answer - but take off the BLACK (GROUND) wire first. That way there's no chance of causing a short with the spanner while removing the other connection.

Remove the positive (red) terminal first, followed by the negative (black) one, and tie the wires out of the way. Lift the battery clear and replace it with the same type of new one. Then connect the wires again - red first. No, you won't get a shock!
