How can I download the software for my Lexmark x1290 printer to my laptop?

The Lexmark x1290 printer worked with my desktop which had
windows XP - My laptop has Vista. I would like to download
the software so it will print from my laptop. I have the CD but it did not work. I have unsuccessfully tried to download from
Lexmark(?).
