I had the same problem. The roller on the bottom of the paper feed has a spring inside of it which creates friction so the roller doesn't spin freely. Mine was bound up and would not let the roller turn except with great effort. I took the machine apart to get that spring out so that it spins freely and all is well again. I had nothing to lose since the paper was not feeding properly and I have had the printer several years. it is a pain to get the thing apart , but that solves the problem.
