Vauxhall vectra 2.0L GLS engine cuts out?

Driving along it's ok, but when comes to stop the engine races to just over 1000 revs then drops suddenly to 500 revs and engine cuts out, but would starts straight away again. Sometimes it just cut out soon as I stop.

Please, can anyone help?
