Brake pedal soft when applied?

Our Van is a 2000 E250 Econoline 4.2L When brakes are applied the foot pedal is soft why? We change the master cylinder because we found it leaking from rear and we bleed the lines.

How did you bleed the brakes some systems have to be pressure blead using a bottle with a pipe and sombody pumping the pedal wont do it

if it's still spoungie there's still air in the line,it need's bleeding or you have a seal gone else where on the system
