I had to take my old power cable off my flymo microcompact 300 and replace it but now i cant remember the correct wiring (cant find diagram)so dont know which colour wire goes where .. does blue go to blue and brown to brown or vice versa , in the box at the top of handles ... im lost please help ....

Hi Sharon,

I've just had exactly the same problem with exactly the same flymo. I'm no sparky by a long chalk, so I asked my mate Steve, who is pretty handy, but is no sparky either - so make of this advice what you will!

Anyway, Steve said blue to blue and brown to brown. I wired it up tonight and gave it a go (neighbour watching, ready to phone ambulance) - worked a treat and I'm still here to type the tale, so I recommend colour matching!
