There is another way to disarm the immobilizer -- you should have a 4 digit code on a credit card thing that came with the car. You can enter this code to temporarily disarm the immob.
Read the manual to find out how - coz models with the voice synthisizer are different to those without the onboard computer.

the immobiliser will only be turned off if the central locking is opened with the remote key fob. if you open by putting the key in door it will NOT disarm.
