I have the same dryer, and had the same issue. My issue was the felt bushing between the barrel and the barrel housing. It had come out of it's place and was allowing metal to come into contact with metal. I took the front off of the drying, put the felt back, and voi la! Problem solved. Good luck.

I am having the exact issue! My mom heard it over the phone and said that it is the bearing. She also said not to use it until it is fixed because it will just get worse. I am purchasing a new one for my husband to replace and can let you know if it takes care of the squeal.
