Our fridge freezer suddenly started warming up. The fridge section was not cold anymore and the food in the top two drawers of the freezer section had thawed. The bottom two were still ok. In the last few days the amber light "super" kept coming on flashing. In the past when this happened I would turn the temp dial down to 0 and switch it off. Turn the dial up again to about 3 and the light would go off. Last night I did the same and the fridge would not come on anymore, despite the warm temperature inside the compartments. Suddenly, after an hour or so it started working again and it seems to be cooling ok again, although you can hear the motor working all the time. Any ideas? Any hope of a quick fix or do I have to get ready for more overtime to pay for a new fridge?

defrost the unit . switch of for 24 hours leave the doors open then switch back on
