How do I stop my Vauxhall Frontera alarm from keep going off?
As soon as the warmer weather comes around my Frontera alarm keeps going off for no reason. It usually starts after the car has been stood for a couple of hours. It doesn't make any difference whether the car is locked or not. The model is a 2003 Olympic Sport.
check it's not just your main battery terminals....
I had this problem...but found a good clean and application of terminal grease solved it.
the reason it happens in sunny dry weather is the conductivity is not as good as in the damp

set fire to it, it wont happen again!!!! or take the n/s inner arch out and you'll find the alarm disconnect it then smash it up and chuck in the canal!!!! IT WORKED FOR ME....

I have been told this is to do with the wires to the alarm sensors on the rear side windows, as the car warms up in sunlight, things expand and the connection is broken so the alarm thinks a window has been smashed, been told I should disconnect them and just reconnect the wires directly to each other to keep the circuit closed.

I had the same problem with my frontera, the fault is the internal sensor. The sensor sends out a signal from one side which then scans the saloon of the car and returns into the other side which is the reciever. If the reciever is faulty, when the temperature in the saloon rises it fails to work so setting off the alarm. The quickest way to prevent this is to disconnect the sensor, still leaving you with all security except in the saloon.Hope this helps.
