My HRB476C mower gradually lost drive to the rear roller? The transmission gearbox had worn out and required replacing. Total Cost for supply and fitting new gearbox was £140.00 from local mower repair shop.

Sam Mills, June 2008
On the Honda Self Prop Mowers, on the rear axle is a gearbox, activated by a lever. The cable pulls the lever that brings the transmission into play. This is powered by a belt running from the crankshaft / blade pulley. It may have snapt but often the gearboxs wear our. You may need to remove the gbox and look inside.
