How do I remove rear brake drums on LDV Convoy 400?

Trying to remove rear brake drums on LDV Convoy 400 TD LWB. Twin wheel. Removed wheels + released handbrake but drums will not budge. Is it necessary to remove half-shaft ??

no you dont need to remove halfshaft, have you taken drum screws out! if so you will need a good solid bar or drift and knock off drum from behind against lip on drum- they are usually tight ,turn drum a little each time [forgot to mention to remove conical split washers from wheel studs before you start knocking]
