if the ratio is 40/1 put 125 ml oil to 5 ltrs of unleaded petrol,
50/1 is 100ml to 5 ltrs and 32/1 is 156lml to 5ltrs. i would go for the 125ml to 5 ltrs.

the exact ratio is 1:40 . I put 30ml in 2 litres of petrol. anyone tell me what is wrong? starts on full choke but dies when choke is off. appreciate any assistance

I have found that only a very small quantity of oil is required to run the machine effectively without huge amounts of smoke at full throttle. The full tank only contains half a pint of fuel when full. use a plastic milk bottle top to measure out the oil. I assume you have a second hand petrol trimmer and can't get hold of the manual I can't either. but I have the benefit of owning a Generater with manual and oil quantity guide lines. If you can do better please get back to me pal.
