What size cable do I need to replace the cables on my riding mower that were accidently burned out, that is what size cable? 8,10 or 12 gauge?

Smoked wiring burns the insulation not the wire. Simply look at the wires and you should be a to tell what ga wire to use. If necessary cut a sample and get what you need at a hardware store or possibly Radio Shack. I have an 18 Horse Murray riding lawn mower and 10 and 12 ga wire is to big.
