tailgate wont open?

I cannot get the boot/tailgate to open when I open the central locking with the key on my neighbour's car, can anyone help please. Renault Cleo 16v

similar problems here with nissan micra 54 reg. tailgate does not open. happens frequently. once tailgate unlocked itself while I was driving.

I am having exactly the same problem with a Nissan Micra
( powered with Renault electrics so there must be a link somewhere) I have put a similar question onto How To Mend It so keep an eye on my question incase I get a worthwhile answer. I will watch your question also for any helpful tips.
