Veritas 8 alarm fault?

Hi, I have a Veritas 8 alarm. For the past week, when I wake up around 8am, the alarm will go off from inside for no reason. At other times of the day, when I am in my bedroom, the alarm goes off yet again, when it unset.

Can someone please tell me is there an easy way to fix this fault without getting a very expensive electrican to come out an default the system. Is defaulting the system easy to do?

How old is the alarm unit and have you changed the battery backup?

could be a flat battery

Hi Sarah, first of all an alarm does not go off for no reason, it sounds to me like you have a tamper fault the tamper circuit is active 24/7 irrespective of wether or not the alarm is set. This tamper fault needs to be traced and corrected. The most probable causes are the bell box or the front door contact because both of these are open to the elements.
