we have a veritas r8 alarm .it has suddenly started giving out a long continuous loud buzzing sound at any given time day or night ?.if you enter code and reset it goes off .even when alarm is in unset mode this still happens.only got four room censors and they seem to be working ok.driving us crazy .....

it is the service timer that has kicked in, it will have probably been set up when the alarm was installed.
if you still have the installation manual it will tell you how to turn it off or reset it.
it sounds like it has service timer option 2 set up on your panal.
the best way to reset is go into engineer mode and reset that way or do a total reset (ie turn power off to panel and disconnect the battery) but you will have to re programe your panel after that.
