The car has done 145k miles. I changed into D when the car was still rolling back slowly after reversing. O/D Off light flashed and automatic changes from 1 to 2 and 2 to 1 became unreliable (like there was a false neutral). I can manually shift 1-2-D which works, and O/D is still working. ATF and engine oil levels are fine. Have I killed it or is there possibly a fairly simple fix?

when did u last have the bands in the gearbox adjusted ? 145 k is a lot of miles without adjustment, usually adjust the bands when u change the TQF gearbox oil AND CLEAN THE FILTER,
